🪴 Product Details

All plants are rooted and are the exact specimen shown in the photo, unless explicitly labeled as "unrooted/cutting" or "grower’s choice."

Our plants are grown indoors in premium soilless substrates (typically Lechuza PON and/or Fluval Stratum) to ensure optimal health and easy transition to your home.

🌏 International Exports

⚠️ USA Shipping : RESUMES SOON 🥳

Direct checkout is available for PL, DE, SE, SI, CH, KR, and UK. For other regions, please message us on the website chat or via email orders@hoyaetcetera.ca.

  • Order Minimum: $500 CAD | Condition: Ships bare-root (no soil/pot).
  • Phyto & Permits: A Phytosanitary Certificate is included. Buyers must be familiar with their local import laws and permit requirements.
  • Customs Processing: Please be aware that customs processing times vary significantly by country and are outside of our control. We recommend that buyers become familiar with their local customs office's typical clearance durations and any specific documentation required for import.
  • Customs & Carrier Contact: It is the buyer's responsibility to monitor tracking and pay duties immediately. If you need specific documentation to facilitate your export, please contact us for assistance.
  • Extended Transit: If your package experienced a long delay in transit, the roots might no longer be viable. In this case, we highly suggest re-rooting the plant from scratch. Potting up with rotted roots risks killing the entire plant; re-rooting ensures its long-term survival and health.
  • Import Fees & Duties: The buyer is solely responsible for all import fees, duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, and any local customs charges. These are not included in the shipping cost and must be paid by the buyer upon entry into the destination country.
  • Fees & Abandonment: If a shipment is returned or destroyed because the buyer refused to pay import duties or failed to provide local documentation, no refund or replacement will be issued.

🚚 Shipping

  • Schedule: Please refer to the homepage header for upcoming shipping dates and order cutoff times.
  • Delivery Changes: Please do not request changes to the delivery (e.g., redirects or rescheduling) via the carrier. This causes significant delays, and we are not responsible for transit issues or plant health resulting from these changes.
  • Shipping is at the buyer’s risk. To ensure the safety of your plants, someone must be home to receive the package upon delivery so it is not left exposed to the elements.

🌱 General Terms

  • If there is a major issue with your order (excluding minor cosmetic damage), you must contact us and provide photos within 8 hours of the delivery timestamp. This allows us to assess the situation immediately and provide the best possible assistance.
  • Unrooted cuttings: Buyer assumes all rooting responsibility. Avoid water propagation for highly variegated stems.
  • While we select high-quality plants, stable variegation is not guaranteed, as it can shift based on genetics and environment; the buyer is responsible for providing the optimal care and light conditions necessary to maintain and encourage variegated growth.
  • Final Sale: Due to the nature of live plants, all sales are final. No returns or exchanges.
  • Any cancelled order will be subject to a 10% restocking fee plus any costs already incurred at the time of cancellation (e.g. Phytosanitary Certificate).

📦 Arrival & Acclimation Care

  • When your plant arrives, it may be stressed from the dark, temperature changes, and travel. Please do not repot, fertilize, or move the plant into direct/intense light or immediately.
  • Stable Environment: Avoid extreme temperature and maintain stable humidity (50-80% for rooted plants and higher for cuttings).
  • Hydration: Check the moisture levels upon arrival. Only water if the substrate feels dry. Do not overwater while the plant is acclimating, as the roots are currently sensitive to rot due to shipping stress.
  • Since these plants are in a semi-hydro setup or reservoir, do not let the substrate go fully dry for too long, as this may cause dry rot.
  • We take plant health seriously, performing meticulous inspections and prioritizing the use of beneficial insects over harsh chemicals. To prevent principal plant pests, predatory mites (typically Neoseiulus californicus) are applied every 4–6 weeks. As a general rule, if you see small, fast-moving bugs, these are your friends! Smile if you spot them because they are hard at work protecting your plant. For international orders, your plants are thoroughly treated prior to inspection to meet all Phytosanitary Certificate requirements.
  • Acclimation Responsibility: The buyer is responsible for the acclimation process in their new environment once the plant is in their care.
