Refunds, Returns and Live Plants
Hoya etcetera sells live plants and plant cuttings. Due to the nature of live plants and international transport, plants may be considered goods liable to deteriorate rapidly under applicable laws.
Where permitted by applicable law, orders containing live plants may be exempt from statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under the laws of the customer’s country of residence.
Customers must inspect their order promptly upon delivery. Any issue with an order must be reported within 6 hours of delivery and must include clear photos of the plants, packaging, and shipping label.
We will review each situation individually and will see what we can do to help. Due to the nature of live plants and international shipping, replacements, refunds, credits, or other remedies may be offered at Hoya etcetera’s discretion, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for any fees related to their order, including brokerage fees, customs duties, VAT, taxes, or import charges applicable in their country.
Hoya etcetera cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, border processing, carrier delays, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Customers are responsible for providing any information required by customs authorities, carriers, or government agencies in a timely manner. Hoya etcetera is not responsible for delays, damage, loss, or additional costs resulting from a customer’s failure to provide requested information, including tax identification numbers, social security numbers, import documentation, or other customs clearance requirements.
Any fraudulent chargeback will be contested using available documentation and evidence.
